Pinterest: Lifestyle Discovery App

Pinterest is a lifestyle app by Pinterest that lets you collect and organize ideas from a very large pool of visual content. It works like a personal mood board that keeps growing: you browse images and short videos, save the ones that catch your eye, and sort them into themed collections called boards. The idea is simple — instead of losing a recipe or a decorating idea in a chat thread, you keep it in one place you can return to whenever you need it.

The app covers a wide range of everyday interests, including fashion tips, easy recipes, DIY projects, and ways to refresh a room. You can also shop styles you like and follow the creators whose taste matches yours. Collage tools let you combine several saved images into a single composition, which is handy for planning an outfit, a meal, or a small renovation.

With a rating of 4.25 from more than 11.6 million ratings and over 1 billion installs, the app has a large and active audience. It has been available since August 2012 and was last updated on October 5, 2026. The app is free to download and includes ads and optional in-app purchases. It carries a Teen content rating and asks for permissions covering identity, contacts, location, photos and media, storage, camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi connection information.

It also suits users who prefer saving inspiration to a personal board rather than keeping dozens of open browser tabs.
